Pursuing a career in Osteopathic Medicine has combined Lauren’s passion to help others improve their health and wellbeing with her knowledge and fascination of how the body functions.
Education
Lauren graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019 achieving a Masters of Osteopathy degree and Diploma in Naturopathy. Lauren has further undergone training in kinesiology taping, a tool which aims to support injured muscles, ligaments, joints, and tendons, which she uses to complement her Osteopathic treatment where appropriate.
Career
Prior to beginning a career in Osteopathy Lauren served in the Navy as a radar operator, which reinforced her strong work ethic and a desire to pursue an interactive career which serves to help others.
Professional Achievements
Since qualifying Lauren has had the privilege to provide care to those from all walks of life and has experience treating a wide range of complaints from spinal nerve and disc related injuries to occupational and sport related repetitive strain injuries.
She has a particular interest in treating neck pain and shoulder related injuries. Lauren is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. Lauren assesses each individual using a whole-body approach and implements a combination of treatment methods that may include Structural Osteopathic Techniques, Soft Tissue Techniques and Taping depending on the patient’s needs.
She also ensures each patient is able to manage their discomfort from home or at work by providing tailored self-care advice. In her spare time Lauren enjoys staying active by practising yoga, bouldering, playing the piano, cooking, and exploring nature.
