The principal Osteopath, Tendy Togelang BSc (Hons) Psych DO (UK), and his colleagues are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and are members of the Institute of Osteopathy. All practitioners regularly attend post-graduate courses, seminars, etc. as part of their continuing professional development.
Education
Tendy trained at the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the British School of Osteopathy). He also holds a BSc in Psychology and has completed several post- graduate acupuncture courses including taking a sabbatical leave to Beijing in 2002. He also studied foot biomechanics and is trained to prescribe foot orthotics. Tendy enjoys being a generalist osteopath and has the experience to treat numerous conditions across all ages.
Career
For over 30 years, Tendy has been caring for thousands of patients from the very young to the elderly. The various conditions he treats include: the usual aches and pains, RSI, arthritis, trapped nerves, sports injuries and aches and pains in pregnancy. If indicated, he uses ultrasound and acupuncture. He advises on diet and posture, as well as prescribing orthotics (foot arch support) and rehabilitative exercises. He works closely with local general practitioners and surgeons.
Professional Achievements
During his clinical career, Tendy has been on the council of the Institute of Osteopathy and a committee member of the General Osteopathic Council. He has been mentoring many newly qualified colleagues and was on the interview panel for prospective students. He is currently on the national mentoring scheme giving advices and guidance to his junior colleagues.
